Data we process and why

The website can be used without creating an account and the reservation form is currently disabled. We process technical requests needed to deliver the website and protect its operation.

Only after you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 measures page views, language, approximate location, device and browser information, and interactions such as menu, call, directions, gallery, beer and daily-menu actions. We use this information to improve useful visitor information and understand which content helps guests find HOPS.

The legal basis for optional analytics is your consent. Necessary storage used to remember your consent choice, the daily-menu dismissal and the language suggestion is used to provide the website function you requested.

Google Analytics, cookies and retention

Analytics is blocked until you choose Accept analytics. Rejecting or withdrawing consent disables Analytics and removes available _ga cookies for this site.

GA4 user-level and event-level data is configured for a two-month retention period. Google Signals is disabled. Google states that IP addresses are used at collection time to derive approximate location and are discarded before being logged.

Your consent record is stored locally as hops2026AnalyticsConsent with the choice, time and notice version. The daily menu uses a date-and-language dismissal key for that day, and the optional language suggestion stores only whether it was dismissed.

Google Maps, recipients and transfers

The location section uses Google Maps. Loading or using the map can send technical data, including your IP address and browser information, to Google under Google's terms and privacy policy.

Website hosting providers process technical data needed to deliver and secure the site. Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC may process Analytics and Maps data. Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area using applicable safeguards, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where available.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Use the permanent Analytics settings button to change your analytics choice. You may also lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
